Word of the Day is a free and open-source service that posts an interesting and uncommon word every day at 4:00 PM UTC. The word is accompanied by its pronunciation, definition, and part of speech, provided by Wiktionary. You can subscribe to Word of the Day via email, Discord, or Telegram. Or you can use the free API.
There is no way to donate because I don't need money. Go donate to the Wikimedia Foundation instead, they provide word information on Wiktionary. However, you can contribute to the project on GitHub.
Word of the Day uses the Wiktionary API to get the pronunciation, definition, and part of speech of its words.
Text on this site uses DejaVu Sans, a free and open-source typeface. The countdown at the top uses JetBrains Mono. The WOTD logo is in DejaVu Serif Bold.
